It's My Japanniversary!

This past Friday was my Japanniversary (Japan anniversary) of 1 year! It has been such an amazing experience being here at Gem School and in Japan. This year was a magical year filled with so many new experiences, culture, learning and love. I am so incredibly humbled and grateful for all of it. Moving to Japan was the best decision I could have made, and better yet, being here in Kagawa and at Gem School has given be so much more than I could have imagined. I am happy to say I will be continuing my life here in Japan and at Gem School for another year!

Snow in Shikoku!?

Hi Everyone!

Recently, I saw huge snowflakes fall from the sky here in Shikokuchuo. It really surprised me because I was told it doesn’t snow in Shikoku, or if it does, it doesn’t stick. The snow came down so heavy and stuck on cars, houses, and the ground well into the next morning. Even though it was cold, I made me feel a little more at home because we get a lot of snow in Ohio. I’m looking forward to warmer tempuratures though. Do you like snow?

Cuteness overload

Sometimes companies will go above and beyond to make something cute. It didn't work on me, unfortunately. I resisted the cute little chicken rice dumpling. It almost looks like a chicken-balloon, right?

I am not a man without weakness. I tried the cheese and potato dumpling 7/11 was doing and was pretty impressed.
