Sakaida
On one of my trips to Kochi I saw this Sakaida in Ember. I instantly knew I wanted it. Sakaidas are something that you never see back home in Miami. I don't know in the rest of the country but South Florida just doesn't have them. Here in japan they are incredibly obnoxious. It took me some time to get used to their annoying noise. Not to mention that the bridge I cross to play PoGo is full of them. I assume they are completely harmless but still they are a nuisance.

My Grandma's Big Birthday!

Pictured here with me is my Grandma! She's a wonderful lady who just had a birthday---her 90th Birthday! My Grandma is an amazing woman, she had and raised 12 kids, one of them being my Mother. I'm named after my mother (Kathleen M) and she's named after my Grandmother (Kathleen M), which is something I find really cool. My Grandma likes to be called Kate, my Mom likes to be called Kathy, and you of course know that I am Katie. It's kinda funny how none of us use Kathleen!
Because of having 12 kids, I have been blessed with a lot of relatives. I am little embarrassed to say that I don't know the exact number! I have at least 20 cousins for sure. I love seeing my relatives and I had a really great childhood thanks to them. Holiday parties and birthdays were always big, loud, and a lot of fun. My Grandma still lives in the same house she always has, and I can't say it's changed very much. It's always warm and cozy. I really appreciate that it is one thing in my life that has stayed the same.
One funny thing that I like is, after the refrigerator was covered in pictures of her grandchildren, she added pictures of everyone's pets! Grand-puppies, kitties, and even birds!

Another new game!
So the wife picked up a new game recently (she'd been stressed out), and it happened to be a series I am quite fond of.
For the PlayStation 4, she started playing Persona 5!
I have played a bit of Persona 2 on the PlayStation, and beaten Persona 3 and 4 on the PlayStation 2. I thoroughly enjoyed those games, particularly 4 (maybe because it took place in a more countryside area, hahaha). So I was excited to see advertisement for Persona 5 coming out. The protagonist is a cat burglar? That looks so interesting! How will the story play out? And when my wife went and bought it, I thought to myself "Awesome! Now I can at least watch the game being played!"
I thought that because, even though my Japanese has been (very slowly) improving, I know it's not at the level where I could understand everything in the game, and so my enjoyment of it would not be as great. Though I may still try; I have played a few other games in Japanese, to varying degrees of success.
We have considered trying to buy the English version via the PlayStation Network, though I don't know if it is even possible. Well, anyway, in the meantime, I can enjoy watching my wife kicking shadow butt, forming deep relationships, and solving mysteries!
