Jotoushiki--what a rare and interesting event!
This week, I had the fantastic opportunity to go to a jotoushiki in Kagawa prefecture with my friend and her family! People were throwing goodies from the roof of an unfinished house to our eager hands down below. What a cool and fascinating experience!

Catch ya later GEM School
When I came to Kagawa in October of 2013 I never expected the amount of fun that I would have working at GEM School. In the almost 4 years that I've been here I have watched so many kids grow up, I've seen students that barely spoke any English end up speaking English proficiently. You never know how much effect you have on someone until you have a student run up to you when you're in the mall to say hi, in English.
Everything from the people, the job, and the life in Shikoku has given me very fond memories and I'll miss every aspect of it. Thank you for being a part of my life these past years and I'll catch you all later.

Utazu Doll Festival

Last weekend I went to Utazu for the Girl's Day festival. It was super cool seeing all the different styles of dolls from the different decades. There was also a short parade going through the town of people dressed in wedding styled kimonos.
