Christmas Trees and their magic..
This past week someone mentioned to me that they had decorated a Christmas tree. It got me thinking about how my family decorates our Christmas tree. My family and I always pick a day early in December, and we clear the whole afternoon or evening. We make hot chocolate (or tea) and we start by putting together the artificial tree. After that we open the big plastic bins of ornaments. We start winding the lights around the Christmas tree, and we make sure that we can easily plug it in before we start to decorate. Decorating the tree always takes a long time because almost every ornament has a special memory that my mom loves to talk about. Some of the ornaments were made my brother and I in elementary school, and the two of us love to tease each other about who made the best ones! It's a really fun time, and I can only imagine how fun it will be the next time I am home for Christmas to decorate the tree with everyone. Maybe I will be able to find a really cool ornament in Japan to remind me about all my amazing adventures here, like some salmon sushi, or Mt. Fuji!
