To the Cider Mill!

It was finally time for me to go home for another visit! I was thrilled to be heading back to Michigan at the beginning of fall weather. The halloween things had already shown up in stores last month, and I couldn't wait to see the trees changing colors.
still a bit too early for full colors
My friend answered one of my requests to go to a cider mill!

Cider in America, is a hot apple juice with spices in it. I'm actually hoping to try and make it soon. People go to cider mills in Michigan (only in autumn) for the cider, apples, fresh donuts and pumpkin picking. Sometimes they are paired with haunted attractions like haunted houses or hayrides.
Some people drink cider cold, but that tastes too much like apple juice to me and I don't like apple juice. I am especially fond of hard cider, which is a cider that has alcohol in it. I drank A LOT of cider during this trip!

I picked a pumpkin but didn't have time to carve it. I was there a short time but it felt great to experience a very mid-western American tradition.
