Aurora Village
So with a population of 35 million and with the 2nd biggest land mass in the world Canada is sparsely populated with the majority of major cities on, or near the U.S border. However there is one large city (By Canadian standards) that is only about 250km from the Arctic circle and that is the city of Yellowknife.
Cool name huh?
While considered a city, it's population is nowhere near the number you'd expect. Even Takamatsu has a larger population. But what makes this city special? Aurora Village. While Yellowknife isn't known for bustling tourism, it IS known for Aurora Village. At this village you can see the Aurora Borealis and visit other nature attractions all while staying in a teepee.
If you ever want to see the Aurora Borealis, you should look at going to Aurora Village.
