As I grew up in Texas my mother, grandmother, and great grandmother instilled in me the value of the story. Stories are amazing things. A story can be the one thing that keeps someone alive well after they have passed and sometimes those stories are associated with objects. These old objects are called antiques. Antiques are so special to me. Each item that you see was touched and used by some one at some point in time. Who was that person? What was their life like? Was the world a different place then? So many thoughts and questions come about and sometimes you can actually find out the stories if you try hard enough! If in your family your elders and ancestors passed something down cherish it. Whether it's a painting, a piece of furniture, jewelry, or even a written scroll or journal you should keep it safe and learn the story behind it. You are keeping history alive!
