Not One But Truly Two

Not One But Truly Two

Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is a classic story that most Americans read in High School or College. It's an old story set in the UK in the late 1800s that follows a written journal and set of letters of a man who is not one person but two. In the story it is by the influence of science that Jekyll's personalities become truly split. One good. One evil. This thought, of humans being not one but two people at once, is an old thought and one that holds surprisingly true. It boils down to good and evil. There are so many versions of this in so many cultures; yin and yang, good and evil, Angels and Demons, God and the Devil, Jekyll and Hyde. In a phrase it represents the duality of human nature. We are who we choose to be. Be careful of your actions and of the choices you make. Will you be good or will you be evil?
