Start training once more!

AS many you already know, I took part in the Marugame Half-Marathon last February. It was quite an experience, and afterwards I felt like I wanted to do it again (even though I could barely move afterward, hahaha). Well, I just recently applied to join in the marathon again for this next February. Know what that means, right? Workout montage!! If you don't know what a montage is, it's most easily identifiable in movies, especially ones where someone needs to get strong and train over a period of time, or someone needs to study to pass a big test. Instead of spending time watching these people study one subject at a time or performing each exercise to completion, they just show quick shots of the different actions they will take to improve themselves over a matter of minutes, since to show it over the days, weeks, or even months it would take to do it could not actually be shown in the movie. A good example would be any of the Rocky movies. In one scene they would show Rocky doing difficult push-ups, then jump to a shot of him working with a jump rope, then jump to another shot of him running up some stairs. All of this doesn't happen in the same day, but because of time constraints in the movie, it appears like he gets into shape in a very short time. It would be nice to be able to workout in the form of a montage; instead of spending hours a week trying to do different exercises, you can get into shape in just a few short cut scenes! Hahaha, not that that could ever work. Anyway, time to Rocky up and focus on getting ready for this next run!
