Finally! Sakura is here

Of course, like most of the other blog posts, I too got to see the sakura bloom. I was especially happy to see them start blooming up the mountains, which were suddenly given pink and white spots from the random trees. I was in the party that went to Kotohiki park to see the sakura, and we had a fabulous time! I took lots and lots of photos, which would have been better in the sun, but at least it didn't rain! We saw some of the temples and 2 glorious views of the city. I liked that a nice old lady gave us 2 bentos of sushi as we were leaving too. It was some of the best sushi I'd ever had!
It's been hard not to buy too many sakura themed things, I know that the sakura will be gone soon! I found some really great wall hangings in a traditional shop in Takamatsu though, and put them up right away. I couldn't decide between the 2 so I had to go with both. They wall hangings will be up there for awhile I'm sure, even after the sakura is gone.

It's a shame that something so beautiful is so short-lived. I'm sure I would still appreciate their beauty if it lasted a month or two.
