Back to the Countryside

While I had an amazing time in Kyoto and it will always be a trip I have fond memories of, I am very glad to be back in the home in the far quieter part of Japan. In America I grew up in a very small town, around 1000 people lived in the area, and while I may not have been very fond of it when I was a kid I've now grown to really like rural, countryside. That is why I was so happy when I got to Japan and I moved into an apartment in Kokubunji, because I was in the countryside, by Japan's standards, and yet I am still very close to a big city, Takamatsu. So for me this is the perfect location. Kyoto was really nice, but there was so many people and it was so big that I always felt a bit uncomfortable. It is really fun to visit the bigger cities, or maybe live there for a year or so, but I am very glad to return to the rural and quiet areas.
