As everyone knows the weather has really started to get cold and I've been doing my best to stay warm despite Japanese homes having little insulation. I try my best to conserve energy so I'm I've been holding off on turning on any type of heater which means my apartment gets quite cold. Lately I've been wearing all my outdoor clothes on inside and sleeping with gloves and scarves. At first it was really tempting to buy a kotatsu or turn my heater on, but now it has become a challenge: how long can I go before succumbing to the cold? I do need to invest in a pair of gloves that I can use with a smart phone. Not because I need to use it with my phone, but because I need them to use with my laptop's trackpad while I'm inside. Currently my hands freeze whenever I have to use the computer.
