In Japan many cities and every prefecture has a cute mascot. My favorite mascot is Bary-san. In the U.S. we don't have anything like that. But there is a statue in Detroit that is considered a symbol of the city. It's called the Spirit of Detroit. Many Detroiters feels proud to see the statue. Sometimes he gets dressed up too. During baseball playoffs he can be seen wearing a Tigers jersey, and during hockey playoffs a Red Wings jersey. If you ever visit Detroit I recommend you go see the Spirit of Detroit!
