My last day at Ota School was a little sad. The kids in Homestay Group all gathered together to say "Thanks so much." I couldn't help myself, I shed a few tears. They were such a delight to be with. After Homestay, I had a Let's Go 4 class. Every week I ask how they are doing and they always respond with "I'm hungry!!" I would often joke with the response "Ok, let's go to McDonalds." That day, however, that was exactly my plan. I asked, "How are you?" They responded with the normal, "I'm hungry!" I said, "Ok, let's go to McDonalds then." They thought I was joking and laughed. I got up and exited the room, turning off the lights. They were confused. I told them to bring their books and told Chitomi that we were going to McDonalds for our lesson. She laughed and told the girls I was serious. We went to the McDonalds just down the street and had our lesson over french fries. It was a great last day and they loved it.
