More Bead Creations
Last week, I mentioned making animals using pony beads. In the US, there is a type of very small glass bead that we call "seed beads." When I was a kid, it wasn't as popular, but we would make lots of bead animals out of seed beads too!
Recently, I wanted my children to be able to experience making bead animals, so I bought some seed beads and some wire for them. They've been having a lot of fun making things with the beads! Sometimes they use a pattern they find on the internet, and sometimes they make up the pattern themselves.
My daughter made this purple cat for a friend. She has also made a lizard, a dog, and a slice of pizza.
My son loves Minecraft, so he has made a lot of these kinds of things.
When you make things out of pony beads, they turn out to be about the size of your hand. When you make things out of seed beads, they turn out much, much smaller, about the size of your finger! I think they're pretty cute! What do you think of them?
