Tofu-rific!
While on the hunt over the weekend for some specialty food for new recipes, I stumbled upon the Niigata Sato Tofu Shop’s fried Tochio. A soft and spongy block of fried tofu stuffed full of leaks and then dipped in a vat of secret recipe miso sauce or kimchi. I picked up one of each from the kind Obasan. A quick warm-up and a light browning in the fry pan, and I had a sweet and savory lunch leaving me wanting more! If you want to try this uniquely delicious treat, they will be back in the basement of the Mitsukoshi on May 8th through the 14th. I know I’ll be there!
