Today, a milk salesman came to my door. I was a bit surprised because it was my first salesman encounter in Japan, and milk is not often advertised in the US by door-to-door salesmen. Is that a common thing for people to try to sell here? It was also surprising how many varieties of milk and yogurt things were for sale. He even left us with a sample of milk to try.

Is this a normal experience? I'd like to find out.
