I really miss the summer time storms from my hometown. The summer days would be filled with crazy colored and ominous skies, heavy wind, powerful thunder and lightening that would rattle your house. I come from Tornado Alley in the midwest. There is not much eerier than the scream of tornado sirens in the silent and still air. I'm not afraid and I don't think these storms are "fun" but they are pretty awe inspiring. I feel a deep respect and connection with nature whenever I experience a storm or heavy wind.
