I don't like winter at all. So I'm always very happy to see signs that spring is coming. In the past, I saw a type of flower called a crocus blooming and thought that it was spring. But crocuses like the cold weather. They start growing before winter is over. So you can't depend on them to tell you when spring is coming.

But I found that in America, when you see the small yellow daffodils blooming, that means that spring is here for sure! They are the first, certain sign of spring.



This is a picture I took of some daffodils I picked from my yard. I really like the teacup they are in. I feel like it's a very Spring-like picture!
  

I will divert from my posts about classical music
to mention an Italian singer named Adriano
Celentano. In particular, I'll mention a song of his
called Prisencolinensinaiciusol, released in the
seventies. It contains lyrics of nonsense
gibberish meant to sound like English. English songs were popular in Italy at that time and Celentano
made the song in a humorous spirit. It's quite amusing, and can easily be found in YouTube.

  

I was at Utazu with Andrew and we passed by Burger King. When I saw this poster, my eyes fell out of my head! The KING YETI BURGER! It looks gigantic! How could anyone eat that whole thing?
Do you know what a Yeti is? A yeti is a mythical snow creature. It is sort of like a snowy Bigfoot. Good name for a huge burger! Could you eat a burger that big?



  

This is a photo of an old house that has been abandonded and then collapsed under the weight of the snow. There are many abandoned and empty houses all across Japan. It is is interesing that even though there are all of these empty houses the price of a Japanese condominium is extremely high.
