Fat Bike
As you all should know by now, I like bicycles and cycling. I really enjoy finding interesting types of bicycles to. I mentioned before about a big wheel bicycle but today I want to talk about fat bikes. Fat bikes are bikes that have very thick tires. I've been able to find many 26" fat bikes, but I hadn't seen a 20” until recently. This picture is of a bike that I saw at the store. What do you think? Do you want to try it out?

Spectre!

Jillian and I went to the new Utazu Aeon Cinema to see the new James Bond movie called Spectre. I'm not a big James Bond fan, but I know a lot about the movies. I listen to a podcast, (which is a radio program online) where two big fans discuss the history of James Bond while rewatching the films. I have found it all really entertaining and interesting, so I have watched more of the James Bond movies. Skyfall is my favorite.
Spectre was fun and action packed. We watched it in English with Japanese subtitles. I was amused by how simple the subtitles were compared to how much was being said in the movie. Was it so that people can read it quickly and enjoy the rest of the talking? Is it just easier? I have many thoughts about this. There weren't many people in our theater because it was in English. Or maybe it was because it was a 9pm show!
The movie was fun (the opening is my favorite part) but I didn't have a good time in the theater. The dry air from the heater coming into the theater made my allergies go crazy. I needed a dozen tissues and a hankerchief. It was really hard on me, even though I took medicine. I hope that this won't keep happening because I adore going to the movies!

Trying to change my diet!
So, in regards to trying to be a bit healthier, I am trying to change my diet. I know for most people, when you hear the word "diet", your first thought means "lose weight". That is not the exact definition. Rather, it is a selection or limitation of a particular kind of food or amount of food that a person eats. This means that a person can have a "poor diet", eating things like candy and cookies every day, while avoiding vegetables and other nutritious foods. Or a person can change their diet, such as eating more meat or beans to increase their protein intake. As for me, well, I tend to just grab something at a convenience store, which while healthier than something you might find in an American convenience store, still isn't all that healthy. Plus, there is a serious lack of fresh vegetables, and I don't eat enough of them as it is. So now I am (trying) to go shopping more, trying to pick up mostly veggies, while (trying) to avoid unhealthy snacks like cookies (I can't stay away) and chips.
This is mostly to try to be healthier. I also kinda want to lose the belly that I have. Though not big by American standards (I would be considered thin, probably), it is quite big by Japanese standards. That is not to say I am doing it because other people tell me that it is big. I personally think that it needs to be smaller. I am not trying for a 6 pack or anything; I'm not that into body building. But to be able to wear a shirt without my belly stretching it out would be nice. I'm not dedicated enough; I need to work harder!
