Tabi time!
Some of you may remember me talking about joining a Yosakoi dance team here in Kanonji. I'm very excited at how much I still enjoy the dancing. We have finally finished learning our dance routine, but I still need lots of practice. I keep turning the wrong way and I forget a few turns and steps but there is still time for me to learn those parts. We will start using the clappers (called naruko in Japanese) very soon, so I'm very excited about that! I really hope I don't drop them when we perform in front of everyone!
I have also finally gotten my tabi shoes for Yosakoi! I was surprised at how comfortable they are to wear, and I was extra surprised at how you need to fasten them. I had never encountered shoes that use a like metal bit slid into a loop before. The shoes are one of the neatest things I have ever purchased, and are a fantastic excuse to expand my tabi sock collection! Do you like to wear tabi socks?
