This past Wednesday, the 24th, was Camilo's and I 6th year anniversary since we started dating! It has also been 6 months since we've been married.

We started dating in high school, so you could call us "high school sweethearts." Many people (especially my parents) thought I was naive and crazy for deciding to go to college with him in Miami instead of going to another school, but it worked out in the end and we wouldn't have survived a long distance relationship.

The cheesiest, but best, thing we do is acknowledge every month-iversary, so every 24th we'll say "Happy 5 years and 4 months!" XD

We really wanted to get married on February 24th, but since we were coming to Japan and we wanted to get married before coming and the previous year we didn't have the money. So, we got married at the 6 month mark, August 24th. We have decided to still really celebrate the date that we started dating, because while getting married is an important moment, for us the day we started dating was. In all honesty we felt married before getting married, so all it changed was our legal status and my name!
