Utazu Salt Fields

One of my favorite things about Japan so far is how many cool historical sites there are in the area. There are so many within walking distance of my apartment. Recently I took a trip to the Salt Fields in Utazu. There I learned all about the way salt used to be produced. It sounded like quite the work out. My mother was a big fan of rock salt, so it was interesting seeing how it was produced. From the museum there was also a beautiful view of the Seto-Ohashi bridge.
