Marugame Magic Tournament!
Hello!
I wanted to share with you an exciting even that happened to me this past weekend! I travelled to Marugame city and participated in a trial tournament for the card game that I play, Magic:The Gathering. It was five round of games, and the winner would receive two byes in the large Grand Prix tournament that will take place this November in Kobe. This is a big advantage, as the tournament will be host to hundreds of players, and being able to skip the first two rounds puts you well ahead of the pack. Unfortunately, I didn't perform very well over the weekend. There were some very well built and designed decks, and I played a deck that I had designed and built myself, putting me at a pretty big disadvantage. However, I didn't go to win, I went to have fun, and I certainly had that. Magic is not a competitive game for me, and I don't normally play it at a competitive level, so when I do, I never have particularly high expectations for winning. There's another trial tournament happening this week coming up, and though I won't be going, I still have plans to head to the big Kobe tournament this winter!
