At the Beach - Swimming
Previously I was talking talking about what you can do at the beach. Well, the most obvious answer: swim! Especially on a nice hot day, when all you will do is sweat, it's best to jump right into the water.
Now, the image that always comes to my mind when people say they "swim at the beach" is the following picture:

Now, as often as I go to the beach (which, to be fair, isn't all that often), I don't think I really ever see anyone do this. I have tried, and with little success. I am not a very good swimmer. And while it may be fun for some, I think a majority of people don't see it that way; rather, they probably consider it exercise (and who wants to exercise at the beach!?)
Instead, I am sure most people would have more fun just jumping into the water and letting the waves crash into them, kind of like in this picture:

Now these people are having fun! And with especially good waves, you can go "body surfing", though be careful not to get all scratched up when you are violently tossed down on to the sand!
