Heat!

Japan, specifically Shikoku, is different from Canada in that it most houses don’t have any insulation, so the houses are much colder than I am used to. I recently learned of a device called a Kerosene heater. I’ve never used one before but it’s finally cold enough that I thought I would give it a try. It smells a little funny and you have to make sure you air out rooms periodically, but otherwise it’s been a great addition to the house. It’s much warmer, and it heats up much faster than an electric blanket. It makes sleeping much more bearable. How do you keep warm in the winter?
