French food in Japan

Kelly and I had a night out this past weekend. We went to a French restaurant in Saijo. It was amazing but there was a problem with translating. We are getting better at speaking and reading in Japanese but these translations are from Japanese to English. This was a double translation problem. We had to go from Japanese to French to English. Luckily we both speak a good amount of French but it came down to "You get what you pay for". An American expression that means if you by something that is cheap it will be cheap and if you by something that is expensive it will be good. So we feasted on the more expensive side of the menu. C'est la vie. ("That's life" in French)
Happy Holidays!!
