I was surprised to find such a European influence on Shodoshima. I've been to Shodoshima before but I only saw the Monkey Park and ate lunch. This time however was a completely different experience! I walked through olive groves and saw Greek influence in the architecture. Also, I went to a Dutch restaurant that was very quaint and delicious. What a fantastic discovery. The Dutch restaurant is called "Cupid and Cotton Dutch Pancake House". It is back in the woods a little bit. They offer camping in the summer too. You should definitely venture out to Shodoshima and check it out. Then visit the onsen that is very near to the restaurant (walking distance!)
