I visited Niihama for the Matsuri Festival. It was interesting to see all the neighborhood men carrying the heavy structures that they decorated. It seemed like a competition between the neighborhoods. It is very dangerous! A 20 year old man lost a couple of fingers because two of the structures crashed into each other.
