石鎚山
Here is an oil painting of Mount Ishizuchi in the Saijo Public Library. The mountain is the tallest in Western Japan at 1,982 meters above sea level. It is one of the seven holy mountains of Japan and is a site of pilgrimage for the Shikoku 88 temples pilgrimage. This is the mountain I want to climb. It's in my backyard. I went there once when I first got here and checked out the general area. I need to complete a summit. I've had two previous failed summits of different peaks and both times I was a stones throw away. Both times weather and time kept me from completing the summits. I'm an adventurous hiker and like to walk up any mountain I can for the experience. Cheers.
