I found myself driving close to Ariake Hama beach when I realized I had never actually been to the beach part, so I found a place to park and walked over to the beach area. I knew the beach was big, but I didn't realize how big it was! It was really hot but the wind coming from the sea side felt really refreshing. It was kind of strange because there was nobody there, probably because of the heat, but I enjoyed the view at the atmosphere of it all. Nice little unexpected trip.
