In northeast Vietnam, just outside of Hanoi, there is a beautiful bay with stunning landscapes called Ha Long Bay (or descending dragon). The area is quite scenic with amazing, natural rock formations and islands that are a photographer’s dream!

There are close to 200 small islands in the bay, with around 40 that are inhabited. The bay is also officially recognized by The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as a World Heritage Site.

I recently visited this area and took an afternoon boat trip in and around the area. The experience was unforgettable!
