Pollock
Jackson Pollock was a pioneering artist, usually
classified as an "abstract expressionist." He is considered the inventor of "action painting." Using a drip technique, Pollock created bold paintings where
fallen drips of paint formed dynamic images. He struggled with alcoholism and was killed in 1956 while driving under the influence.
