Since I wrote about my favorite animals, I should write about my favorite plants and flowers.

First of all, I HATE LAWNS!!! Lawns are a huge waste of space and resources, I hate mowing the lawn every week in the heat of summer, I hate that everything in America is so far apart that I can't walk anywhere because everyone has to have a stupid lawn around their house.


I will set you on fire.


I am in the process of converting a lot of my lawn into flower beds and vegetable gardens. I want my yard to attract bees, birds, and butterflies. I especially like sunflowers and morning glories. I mostly go for perennials, but my wife also wants marigolds, which are annuals.

My favorite flowers are snapdragons and foxgloves, but I don't especially want them in my garden.

In our vegetable patch, my kids want to grow broccoli this year. We usually plant tomatoes, corn, and zucchini or summer squash. We have an apple tree, and I'd like to plant a few more fruit trees. Last year we tried to grow blueberries and peas, but they all died.
