Sometimes after work I decide to workout in my apartment. Lately I have gotten back into running, but because I get off of work in the evening I end up running at night. That was my first mistake. Last week after work I went running sometime around 10pm. Usually I stick to the main roads but I run along the sidewalks. Well for some reason I decided to take a quick run through a dimly lit street and ended up by some body of water. It was dark so I couldn't really see that well, but as I came to a street corner I saw something walk towards me. It was a dog...a big dog.

It started to growl at me, and I thought if I just walk slowly I can get out of this situation. Well, two more dogs started to join the other dog, and by this time they were barking at me and walking towards me. I thought I was at the worst part of it...but then two more dogs joined in. At this point I had five dogs barking at me, on a dark street, in an unexplored location. Thankfully a car was just driving by, and the lights must have scared them away because when the car left the dogs disappeared. That was my chance, I started to walk away slowly while looking over my shoulder to see if they were still behind me. I didn't want to run and excite them so I started slow. After a while I noticed the dogs were truly gone and I instantly started sprinting away.

No more late running adventures for this teacher.
