Well, I'm embarrassed. I thought the lovable mascot of Ehime, Mikyan, was a bear. Not sure why I never noticed the leaves look like floppy dog ears. While this is the most famous mascot in the area, there are more!



This is Stopy, the global warming prevention mascot. Yes, you read that correctly.


Rounding out my group of local mascots, representing the city of Saijo...Kabu-chan! Actually, I had never seen our mascot. Not in person. Not in a picture. Not even a single piece of merchandise. It is too bad.
