KimoNovember Day 1!
This month is a very exciting month for me! In the kimono wearing community November is a time to celebrate wearing kimono. Kimono + November = KimoNovember!
To participate in this fun event I made a personal challenge to wear kimono everyday for one week! I finally have enough to wear a different kimono almost everyday so I'm excited to practice putting together outfits.
Here is the outfit that I wore yesterday, the first day of my challenge!

I think my kimono is tsumugi, I bought it second hand from a girl here in Kagawa who also wasn't sure. My obi is also second hand, it's so floppy so it was very difficult to tie. I really like the kimono and obi together, but I think the obijime and obiage don't really match that well. I need to buy something more fall colored, maybe a deep purple or wine red?
I'm so excited to continue this challenge all week, I think it's going to be an exciting culture exchange and conversation topic with all of my students. Lets talk about traditional clothing from our countries!
