Hi chew vs Chuuhai

So, there are times when people make mistakes when speaking, in this particular case saying a word that is completely different from what they intended. This especially happens when the words are easy to mix up, due to the similarity in the way they sound. There are two words that even today I sometimes mix up. Those words are "Hi chew" and "chuuhai".
Hi chew is, of course, the fruity and chewy candy (kind of reminds me of taffy). These I have actually seen brought to the states; it is quite popular among those that know what it is. Chuuhai is drink that is also fruity at times; however, it also contains 9% proof alcohol, so it is NOT meant for children. Chuuhai is not available in the states (as far as I know), and I don't think it will be for some time, hahaha. They are dangerous.
Anyway, yes, these two words I still muck up at times, usually when speaking to my wife. I would always ask her if she would like me to pick up the drinks, but would sometimes say the candy, which just ends up confusing her. I have been fortunate not to make this slip at work, where we have hi chew available for students. That would be an awkward situation: "Hey little Johnny, do you want some Chuuhai?". Then all the parents and staff would just look at me with either shocked or disapproving faces. That wouldn't be fun!
