Like I mentioned last week, my favourite time of the year is undoubtedly Spring, but even the best times have their downsides. For me, the coming of the glory of Spring also signals the beginning of allergy season! Spring fever, or sometimes called hay fever in North America, are the seasonal allergies some people get when the trees and flowers start pollinating again in the Spring time, getting ready to grow a whole crop of new vegetation. Some people are affected by this pollen very severely, and some people aren't touched by it at all. For me, it mostly comes when I'm near a lot of pine trees, or other trees with lots of needles instead of leaves. Something about them just sets my eyes watering and itching like crazy. Luckily, I haven't had that experience here in Japan, so it's one more thing in the long line of great things I like about being here.

Are you affected by seasonal allergies? What are some remedies or thing people do in Japan to combat spring fever?
