Hello All, Please stay hydrated outside. It's extremely hot. On the wonderful world wide web I saw a video of someone in Japan cooking an egg outside without fire. It was amazing and scary. I miss the days of my youth when my father would take me to the beach and we would cool of in the ocean. Sometime soon I will summon the energy to go to the beach before the infamous jellyfishes appear. Stay cool my friends!  

It may be hot, but at least we have the summer festivals! Last weekend in Niihama there was a mini summer festival at our shotengai! There were vendors and singers and everyone seemed to be really enjoying themselves. There were lots of little kids in colorful jinbes and yukatas. Everyone looked so nice...I wonder if I can wear a yukata?
