Since I've been here I've always wanted to fill my free time up with productive activities. One of the things I enjoy doing is writing, whether it be short stories or a journal, I always try to write a bit every day. The main activity I maintain on a daily basis is learning Japanese. I would be wasting an opportunity if I didn't try to consistently learn Japanese while I'm here. These two activities I do, on average, of about an hour a day and both of these activities require a pen and paper. So I decided a while ago that I'd try to do something that I've never done before. I've never learned how to play a musical instrument so I thought now would be a great time to pick up a Guitar.

I was astonished to find out how accessible it was to find and purchases a decent guitar at a great price. Especially for someone who's starting out from the basics. The experience so far has been fun. There is a lot of practice that goes into learning a musical instrument and I didn't know where to start, so I picked up a relatively cheap e-book on the basics of guitar. Through this book I learned how to properly tune a guitar (Electronically because I didn't purchase a tuner) But i'm also picking up a lot of musical theory to accompany my growing knowledge of chords.
