Favorite Movie
Do you have a favorite movie? I love going to the movie theater and renting movies. It can be your escape from reality for an hour or two or three (if you are watching The Hobbit
). My favorite movie is Braveheart. Mel Gibson did a great job acting in it but he also directed it. That is a huge accomplishment. You act in front of the camera and then direct from behind the camera.

Michigan Mitten

I am from Michigan. As you can see above, the shape of Michigan's lower peninsula is very similar to a mitten. Because of this, all Michiganians use their hand as a map. Anywhere you go, you can easily show other people exactly where you live.

My hometown is just north of Detroit, right at the base of the thumb. Very "handy"!

Family Tradition... What is(are) your family tradition(s)?

My younger brother and I at the Moonlight Magnolia, Civil War Ball.

A little Texas Pride!

A cute little girl walked up to us and my younger brother leaned down to say hi. It was adorable!
Thank you for looking!

Desserts
Yummy! I love cake. This is a picture of my father's German chocolate cake. There are two sticks of butter and six eggs in it.It is really heavy, but it goes down well with a tall glass of milk. Though I really enjoy tapioca pudding and chocolate chip ice cream, this is my favorite dessert. What is yours? Do you like cakes to? There are so many wonderful cake shops in Takamatsu. My favorite is "sanbuta." It is a sandwich, ice cream ,and cake cafe next to Kawaramachi. I really recommend you try there food!

Sea Kayaking

Over winter vacation I also visited my friend in Portland Oregon. Oregon has beautiful nature and fun activities to do in rain or shine. One of the activities I enjoyed was sea kayaking. You can see the beautiful mountains in the background. I ate lunch and drank hot tea on a random small beach and then continued on my way. My favorite thing about sea kayaking was the abundance of cute playful seals that kept popping their heads out of the water to say hello. There were about 100 seals total lying on the shore. That was a neat surprise.
